Daniel P. Diffendale

I'm a student of archaeology with interests in the 1st Millennium BCE Mediterranean, particularly in central and southern Italy, as well as the early spread and development of writing systems, ancient military technology and Latin epigraphy.

I currently work at the Archaeological Mapping Lab at the Penn Museum in Philadelphia, which includes the Corinth Computer Project and the Mt. Lykaion Excavation and Survey Project.

I blog about recent archaeological discoveries in Italy at Tria Corda. A few pages with information on specific sites and armor from Italy are available at Italica. Many of my photos of archaeological sites and artifacts of Italy and Greece are available with Creative Commons licenses at flickr. I've started to catalog my personal library at LibraryThing.
