The following books are available to be purchased at the University of Pennsylvania Bookstore:

Attendance in class and student discussion will be expected. There will be a midterm exam and a final exam. Both exams will be composed of slide identification, short answer, and essay questions. There will also be a map quiz and several slide quizzes. In addition, there will be required a brief research paper (ca. 10-15 pages) on a subject to be discussed with the instructor. The paper is due April 3.
